[Lilug] Linux rescue disk for windows systems

I had to work with a similiar situation recently and highly recommend
system rescue cd
http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page
I would suggest creating a usb pendrive of it as well to have some
persistent storage to write to.
mount.ntfs-3g is probably what you'll use to mount your drive read/write
not sure about the rdesktop ( tsclient is default for ubuntu)
