Looks like everybody's computer will be getting slower to deal with an Intel hardware flaw.  VAR and service model companies may eat their benchmarks here.  Clouds, VM servers, laptops, desktops, servers, everything.

I would like to point out Linux is discussed the most, not because it's the most vulnerable but because it's the only scientific collaborative model.  (the public helps each other in repeatable/reproducible way) Apple and Microsoft are simply pursuing their best business option from here and right now that means staying quiet about potentially useful details until they are satisfied with their fix.

Patch early, patch often, apologize to users for broken promises, buy a lot of stuff in a panic.
