I’d love to find out more about what you mean by “real wrong” – do you simply refer to scheduling?

I could comment on the choice of my own initials in the wording quoted above.

Anyhow, I am not guaranteeing one way or another that ‘cellular connectivity’ is in every device (I, completely honestly, do not know) – what I’m saying is it is possible, and it is also quite frankly not detectable because a small switch (software? Timing triggered?) could turn an internal radio on or off and when it is off even if you have some kind of signal detector you will not detect anything, and it can be embedded in a chip and who knows if you’d ever have any way to see it. I mean, yeah, they can stamp any writing on a chip they want, shape it into any shape they want -=- but heck, did you see what china was doing? People sent them circuit board designs, sent them back something that looked exactly like what they designed, but they put secret data stealing communications technology super thin inside of the circuit board (yeah, the green/brown board) that would be totally blind to anyone – except I think the University of Florida (from memory) figured out how to detect this somewhat automatically (in this particular case) by using an X-Ray and image recognition technique.

What I do know is engineers learn from history (and history classes) – for example, the idea of balance of powers – well, it is a real balancing act if you get my drift.

For the record, no I do not work for anyone, and I have no ‘insider information’

I just joined a variety of clubs where I get lots of info from and absorb and process and extrapolate – for example, I’m a member of the American Psychological Association, the ACM, the IEEE, the American Chemical Society (and by coincidence, it seems I might be in Orlando for their national meeting) – and yeah – I never took a formal chemistry class in college and I barely passed it in high school, the AIS (Association for Information systems? – which sounds a lot like the digital ballpark logo – INFOSYS – on the building), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and many subgroups within these ‘clubs’ as well – it’s just reading material and such to keep me occupied since I went into retirement in my twenties back around 2001. Social Security is not much to live on, but with no rent, it gives me enough to get by on I guess and keep self entertained.

Oh, and the first meeting at the digital ballpark I had attended, I caught the “LISA” joke, whether or not anyone else did, the “Long Island Software Awards” – very funny, and yeah, I also noticed there appeared to be 2-3 teachers in attendance that day who had a connection (or were talking about) half hollow hills where my sister teaches and for whom I wrote Student Centered for iPad and Android tablets. Maybe no one else even caught that, “maybe” it was a coincidence, not even I know.

Hello

The meeting is CANCELED. Queens plows/salters are already falling
behind. Not supposed to change to rain until 8pm. This could be a
nightmare commute. Not worth the risk.

Our speaker has already expressed interest in rescheduling. I'll
keep you posted.

I hate it, but this could go real wrong. See you folks at SISIG
or next month.

Matt
