<p class="MsoNormal">Am I wrong, or doesn’t Wordpress still run on anything that can host a PHP script with MySQL?</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I am fairly certain both GoDaddy and my current provider, DreamHost, offer automatic WordPress management for you (that is, they’ll install it and update it I believe).</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I’ve been hesitant to rely on 3<sup>rd</sup> party scripts, at least once or twice I installed a third party script (akin to wordpress or a cart) only to find out a ‘known exploit’ in it meant my site was then distributing viruses. Writing
my own scripts as needed seems to be the safer option, and if you don’t want comments from the ‘peanut gallery’ a simple HTML non-interactive page may be better (hard to hack something that is not a script).</p>
