The most fundamental goal of life is successful pursuit of autonomy.  Without
diversity, autonomy can only be achieved through isolation, ending in stagnation
and eventually death.  The defining characteristic of insanity is the belief
world should change to suit your needs.  A wish for uniformity or homogeneity of
