[Lilug Planning] Potential speaker.

Hi

Mark I totally agree, an see it coming too. Money is a hot
topic. Nobody has enough. :)

Love it or hate it, the Linux geeks are the first and vastly
prominent experts on the combination of open design and the interface of
that and community. Not to mention the crossover to cryptographic math,
and sustainable practices. On this topic we are on par with the other
appropriate parties, economists.

So look at it this way. An economics group would be having the
mirror arguments. IMO, they should cover it as well.

The sensibility in use of open engineering is as important as the
details of implementation. Strategy vs tactics. Only the lucky get
anything done without both. Not selling bitcoin mind you, but there will
be lots more to come in the 'design, share, debug, test, replace' space.
The very idea of Linux and open source will be challenged. I think we
should keep up.

One thing to look out for... We cannot endorse this as a group no
matter we think. I don't think it's expressly illegal, but it does
compete with the dollar and uncle sam, which would most definitely piss
him off.

Matt

This is my main concern with this talk. It could easily devolve in to
arguing about dollars, gold, intrinsic value, inflation, the federal
reserve, national debt, etc. It'll definitely be entertaining. I
guess ultimately LILUG is its members. It'll be up to our members
what this meeting becomes.
