Matt,

I can come but I need a ride from the farmingdale train station, and I would
like a ride as far west as possible to a LIRR station.

Yes I can talk about SVG as a minitalk, and doing javascript animations with
it, as well as all the things I would do different know that I know better.

Regarding how to get better talks these are my suggestions from experience
at LIPHP:

   1. Go to talks in the city, I guess NYLUG, and invite the speaker of the
month to give a talk at LILUG. Thats how I got Kristina at Lilug and LIPHP.
Thats also how I got Alan Siedan at LIPHP
   2. Demand abstracts from your speakers. Pester them for an abstract until
   you get one.
   3. Actively solicit talks from internal members. Ask specific people to
give specific talks about specific topics.
   4. Go down to other local events (LIPHP for example) You probalby won't
get people wanting to do the same talk twice in long island, but most user
group speakers speak regularly about multiple things.

My $0.02

Justin
